Brock Lesnar was absent from WWE television after dropping the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. That changed at WWE SummerSlam last year, where he made his shocking return to WWE television and confronted Roman Reigns. Brock officially came back as babyface, much to the delight of fans.

Shelton Benjamin is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling. It is also a known fact that Benjamin and Brock Lesnar are great friends in real life and have been so for years.

Both of them started their journey together in Ohio Valley Wrestling as well. While speaking on Ryan Satin’s Out Of Character podcast, Shelton Benjamin talked about Brock Lesnar’s current character in WWE. Benjamin claimed that Lesnar’s current gimmick is close to how Lesnar is in real life.

“I would say Lesnar’s current character is the most like he is in real-life, amongst people that he likes. I tell people all the time, one of the best things about Brock is you never have to wonder where you stand with him. Because he won’t waste any time in telling you, he will show you. He either wants nothing to do with you or you are a genuinely good friend. So, what you’re seeing to me, is Brock when he’s relaxed and in amongst friends.”

Shelton Benjamin also recently hinted at squaring off against Brock Lesnar in the future. We will have to see whether Shelton Benjamin will ever get the chance to compete with Brock Lesnar somewhere down the line or not.
