2K sports is trying to shape up WWE 2K22 to be a successful release, as 2K’s last installment in the WWE franchise 2K20 failed terribly. It was regarded as one of the worst games developed by 2K. Their efforts to make the new installment to be a solid game have been pretty apparent so far.

Earlier this month, 2K released a game teaser that showed WWE superstars actively taking part in the game’s development. So it’s pretty safe to say we can expect an incredible product when it releases on March 11.

A short while ago, 2K announced an entire list of exciting playable arenas and championships in WWE 2K22. There’s now a new confirmed roster of additional playable characters and some stars who are disappointingly not available in the game.

The current roster includes many released Superstars including: William Regal, Mickie James, Johnny Gargano, The IIconics, Scarlett Bordeaux, John Morrison, Tegan Nox, Reckoning Mia Yim, Jeff Hardy, Murphy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Ember Moon.

As of this writing, the following are not in the roster, or at least not confirmed to be in the game at the moment.

Bray Wyatt

Chelsa Green

Adam Cole

Daniel Bryan

Kurt Angle

As for fan-favorite Daniel Bryan, he was reportedly pulled out of WWE 2K at the request of WWE as he was leaving the company. We will have to see if they put him in the game. That being said, if they created attributes for those Superstars then fans might be able to create anyone they like with the CAW feature.

WWE 2k22 releases on March 11th PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The pre-order for the game is live, and those who order the deluxe edition will get it early on March 8th.
