Tay Conti ended up rising in the ranks of female AEW superstars at an immense speed in 2021. She’s had some memorable moments in the previous years, such as being in tag team with Anna Jay, having challenged the AEW Women’s Champion, as well as having an unforgettable fight at AEW Rampage.

Conti was present during a Highspots Virtual Signing, where she talked about what was her favorite AEW match. She said that she felt her match against Britt Baker was one of the most special ones as she was trying a lot of new things in it to reinvent herself.

My match against Britt for the title was really a special one. I was super nervous and trying to come up with a different entrance. I was trying to present myself different. I really like it, it was a special match. Britt was amazing to work with in the ring. I want my rematch to kick her ass again. That was a special one. I had my first moonsault that Sammy helped me with.

Conti talked about her spectacular entrance at AEW Full Gear and having worked consistently on her moonsault in December 2021. She added more matches to the list of her favorites, which included her facing off against Serena Deeb and Hikaru Shida.

I would say my match with Serena, I really liked it too. She’s one of the best in the game. I can wrestle her every day. I want a street fight against Serena. It would be amazing. My match against Shida, maybe because I’m a big fan of Japanese style. My match against her was one of my favorites for sure.

Tay Conti even wants to go to Japan and wrestle, something which is obviously possible with The Forbidden Door. Her last AEW appearance was on AEW Dark: Elevation, where she teamed up with partner Anna Jay as well as Ruby Soho.
