Bray Wyatt was released from WWE back in July last year and it utterly shocked the pro wrestling industry. Jim Ross even previously stated that Wyatt’s release from WWE proved that the company has bad management. Several people simply couldn’t understand why he was even released, but perhaps he wanted out.

Bray Wyatt’s Fiend character was one of the most creative gimmicks in the company’s history. In a creatively restricted environment such as WWE, fans wondered how much creative control Wyatt really had.

Since his release, many fans have been wondering what is next in store for Bray Wyatt and his creative mind. Earlier this month, Tony Khan hyped the debut of a free agent in AEW, which turned out to be Keith Lee.

While speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Ric Flair stated that Bray Wyatt should have made his debut in AEW instead of Keith lee, as that would have been a bigger surprise.

“WWE really never understood what to do with Keith Lee’s character. They came out of the gate strong with him. And yeah, I actually think they went back and forth a couple of times trying to work things out with him. I have no idea what really happened. Honestly not taking anything away from Keith Lee, but a big surprise to me would have been Bray Wyatt.”

We will have to wait and see how Keith Lee will be booked in AEW as fans certainly have a lot of expectations from him.
