Maki Itoh is definitely one of the most popular and beloved Japanese female pro wrestlers in the world right now. She had a brief stint in AEW back in March of last year and fans couldn’t get enough of her. It seems she has tested positive for COVID-19 as well.

However, she had to return to Japan and leave AEW, which disappointed several fans. Since then many fans have been wondering whether Maki Itoh will be making her return to the company anytime soon.

Itoh currently wrestles for Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling and is their International Princess Champion. As officially announced on DDT Pro’s website, Maki Itoh has tested positive for COVID-19.

Maki Itoh was one of several names who will miss time due to COVID-19 or for being in close contact. Itoh also previously promised to make a return to AEW television eventually.

We will have to wait and see if Maki Itoh will be able to strike a deal with AEW and make her return to the company, as she has proven to be a fan favorite during her brief run last year.
