Maki Itoh is undoubtedly one of the most popular and beloved Japanese female pro wrestlers in the world right now. She had a brief stint in AEW back in March of this year and fans couldn’t get enough of her.

However, she had to return to Japan and leave AEW, which disappointed several fans. Since then many fans have been wondering whether Maki Itoh will be making her return to the company anytime soon.

Now it seems Maki Itoh herself has given an update on her AEW future. Itoh recently held a live stream where she addressed her current relationship with AEW.

Itoh said that she was the top merchandise seller on Pro Wrestling Tees at one point last week. Itoh added that she believes she can be a star but still has not received any contract offer from the company.

We will have to wait and see if Maki Itoh will be able to strike a deal with AEW and make her return to the company, as she has proven to be a fan favorite during her brief run earlier this year.

It won’t really matter whether AEW calls Maki Itoh, she still has her “simps” who love everything she is doing. It might also be a good idea for Tony Khan to take advantage of this opportunity to cash in on a very popular performer, no matter how much improving she has left to do in the ring.
