Ember Moon was one of the highlights of WWE NXT television as far as the women’s division is concerned. This happened after she was repackaged following a subpar run on the main roster. It seems she opened up about her love for professional wrestling of all kinds as well.

It was said that Ember Moon had dental surgery which had kept her out of WWE NXT television for so long. In the end, Ember Moon was released by WWE last year, much to the shock of fans and pro wrestlers alike.

Ember Moon, who is now known as Athena in the independent circuit, has a deep love of pro wrestling in numerous ways. While speaking with Highspots Superstore, Ember Moon revealed that she finds enjoyment out of bad wrestling as well when asked what match she would recommend to someone to make them a pro wrestling fan.

“Not the one they should probably see. So here’s the thing, I find enjoyment out of like, bad wrestling. Because I’ve been there. I’ve been there and I feel like if you show someone wrestling, it either has to be a super crazy, hardcore match or Ricochet versus Ospreay or something, like, that’s so crazy that they get sucked in that they stick around to see more.

Right? Like, I don’t know, I would probably start with Ricochet versus Ospreay, then I would go to some backyard wrestling, you know, just to show them all avenues of what was going on. I have, I use to watch all time and then I met Freight Train and he was the nicest person in the world and I was like, ‘I don’t think I can watch Five Dollar Wrestling anymore because he’s just so sweet.’”

Ember Moon is also grateful for her opportunity in WWE. Thunder Rosa also recently stated that she really wants a match against Ember Moon. Even Eric Bischoff was surprised by Ember Moon’s release. We will have to wait and see if Ember Moon will ever make her way to AEW and face off against Thunder Rosa.
