AEW presents their Revolution pay-per-view on March 7. That means we’re less than a month away from the huge event. On last night’s Dynamite, fans started to get a glimpse of the build to the PPV. Several key matches are already being set up.

Adam Cole confronted Adam Page after Hangman’s title defense in a brutal Texas Death Match with Lance Archer. Cole didn’t have anything to say, but his intentions are obvious. He’s coming for the World Championship.

AEW also did some angles on Rampage which will air on Friday that helped set up big bouts for the PPV. Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa will finally have their long-awaited Women’s World Championship program. CM Punk and MJF also appear headed for rematch. Multiple teams are looking to go for the tag titles. Dave Meltzer discussed the seeds that have been planted thus far on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio.

“Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa, they’re very clearly going in that direction, and they did some angles on Rampage and everything and you can sort of see that being set up. Tag team, I don’t know, Santana and Ortiz and the Young Bucks both are kind of like going after the belts. The Young Bucks obviously talked about, ‘It’s time to get the belts back.’

I don’t know exactly how it’s going to go, but it’s going to be something in that realm with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. So, that’s probably the key stuff. Probably something with Jericho coming off of next week’s show. Wherever that thing goes. I think they were probably going to do Jericho and Eddie Kingston. Of course, Eddie Kingston’s been hurt. He had the orbital bone injury.

The last time I heard from him, which was, I don’t know, maybe ten days ago, he told me he would be ready in three weeks, which would’ve been before the pay-per-view. And then maybe Danielson vs Jon Moxley.”

There are still a lot of moving parts and things could always change. It does look like Tony Khan has a vision for where he wants the AEW Revolution PPV to go. We’ll get a chance to watch it all play out over the next few weeks on both Dynamite and Rampage.
