Vickie Guerrero Sets Misinformed Fan Straight About Alleged Botch From 2005

Vickie Guerrero is not about to let internet trolls get to her. The charismatic wife of the late Eddie Guerrero was the latest victim of an online heckler in the world of wrestling. The problem has been getting worse since the advent of social media. Vickie didn’t take this one lying down.

WWE posted an interview with Rey and Dominik Mysterio on Twitter that had almost nothing to do with Vickie. A couple of fans jumped into the comments to bring up a segment from a 2005 ladder match where Vickie allegedly missed her cue and botched a big moment. The current AEW star issued a very stern correction to the fan.

“Hey genius…I didn’t miss my cue….Rey was under the ladder and it was not safe for me to run and push the ladder…I was told to wait until Rey was out of the way. #stayinyourlane”

The match took place at SummerSlam in 2005. The infamous stipulation was that the bout was for custody of Dominik, who was just a child at the time. The belief among many fans is that Vickie messed up the key spot.

The match is still talked about by fans to this day. Eddie and Rey had one of the most intense feuds of the era. Vickie claims she was just doing what she was told and wanted the spot to be safe.

Online trolls have long been the bane of professional wrestlers. Jordynne Grace has been dealing with her own particular set of harassers recently. Neither woman is interested in taking any more from these mean-spirited fans.
