Gangrel was one of the superstars of WWE’s infamous attitude era. The vampire warrior got his start on the independents with Luna Vachon and rose to become the leader of The Brood. Edge and Christian both cut their teeth in WWE as members of the spooky group with Gangrel.
Gangrel took a break from drinking blood to tie the knot with his partner, Susan Nelson, on Wednesday. An intimate ceremony on a beautiful beach was followed by a honeymoon in Ventura, California. Gangrel was more than happy to share plenty of pictures on social media.
Several stars of pro wrestling attended the ceremony. Photos from the event showed AEW talent Miro having a blast on the beach. Sinn Bodhi also helped document the fun on Twitter.
“Jumped in the ocean… Put a jacket on… watched my favorite vampire @gangrel13 tie the knot… My turn next…”
Gangrel is one of the fondly remembered characters from an edgier time in WWE’s history. Edge will still occasionally give his foes “brood bath.” It’s an influence that is still felt today.
Gangrel is now enjoying his honeymoon and his first week of wedded bliss. It looks like the couple couldn’t be happier. Congratulations to Gangrel and Susan!
