Charlotte Flair was one of the final two entrants in this year’s WWE women’s Royal Rumble. The Queen stood inside the squared circle and went face to face with the legendary Ronda Rousey. Ronda ultimately got the victory. Many fans wondered why WWE didn’t use the opportunity to put over stars like Bianca Belair leading up to WrestleMania. Instead, Ronda got the victory and appears to be on a collision course with Charlotte on the grandest stage of them all.

Fans took to Twitter in the aftermath of the event to voice their displeasure. Many compared Charlotte’s push towards Mania to Triple H during his “reign of terror” days. Flair had been personally pushing for Ronda Rousey’s opponent to be herself. It doesn’t seem like the WWE Universe was thrilled with the booking of the Rumble.

“It’ll be an awful match too. Charlotte has got to HHH reign of terror levels. She never gives her opponents anything & is very, very rarely made to look weak. The Rumble match another example. It was made to look like a fluke that she didn’t win.”

“WWE: Ruins Bianca Belair’s career. WWE Stans: Just wait and see how it plays out! WWE: Here’s Charlotte and Ronda at the end of the Rumble.”

“WWE did a great job over the last two years with the Royal Rumble Matches outside of Charlotte winning in 2020 How did we go from two perfect Rumble Matches last year to, two absolute garbage ones like it was 2015 all over again but way worse.”

“I’m not talking about the specific match. I’m talking about the constant ramming down people’s throats with either Lesnar or Charlotte every single year. I don’t bitch much actually but this rumble was total garbage and i have no horse in the race to cause any bias”

We’ll see if WWE is able to tell a compelling story in the build for Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey. Many fans are already expressing skepticism. The WWE Universe is starting to suffer from some major Charlotte Flair fatigue.
