The 35th annual Royal Rumble PPV event will take place on Sunday (Jan. 30). The wrestling spectacle will emanate from the The Dome at America’s Center and will feature wrestlers from RAW and SmackDown.

Royal Rumble 2022 will also mark the fifth consecutive Women’s Royal Rumble match. Thirty women from both brands will compete in over the top rope battle royal.

WWE has already announced 21 participants including Hall of Famers for the match. Superstars from NXT 2.0 are also heavily anticipated to perform in the Women’s Royal Rumble.

One NXT star in particular has expressed her interest in competing in the match. Cora Jade has thrown in her name in the match, saying Royal Rumble has always been one of her favorite WWE PPVs.

“I would love to be in the Royal Rumble, I guess we will have to see. It’s definitely one of my favorite PPVs, especially growing up,” she told WWE Espanol during an interview,

“All the surprises are always my favorite, 2020’s Royal Rumble was one of my favorites because Edge made his return and I was a big Edge fan growing up and I am still a big Edge fan now, so that was a cool moment to see.

“I would love to be in the Royal Rumble, I guess we will never know until we get there. But I know they do have some open spots. I know a lot of women have already been announced, but there is room for some surprises, so hopefully, I am one of them.”

Cora said she’d love to compete against SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair for her title if “I were in the Royal Rumble and won it” and that it’s one of her dream matches.
