Finn Balor is a former 2-time NXT Champion and has competed in high profile matches since his return to NXT back in 2019. Before that, Balor was working in the main roster for few years, where he was not utilized well. It seems Vince McMahon has given up on him.

Finn Balor was then drafted to Monday Night RAW as part of last year’s WWE Draft. He even sent a message to AJ Styles and Seth Rollins after being drafted. He had a few matches on the show including with Austin Theory.

Balor was absent from WWE television for the past couple of weeks. During his absence, Finn Balor was enjoying his time with family back in Ireland. Balor made his return on Monday Night RAW this week, where he was defeated by Austin Theory in six minutes.

According to WrestlingNews.co, Finn Balor’s role is now that was previously occupied by Jeff Hardy, as he is now there to put over younger talents. It was also said that Vince McMahon has given up pushing him.

“Yea, Finn was moved into the spot that Jeff Hardy had. He’s just there now to help get over the younger guys. There was a pitch to make him heel but that was weeks ago and I haven’t heard much about it since then. Vince never saw Finn as more than just a mid card guy. Heyman would have pushed him to the moon but Vince just never saw it. Austin [Theory] is going to get time to shine in the Rumble match. Last I heard was he will be in the final 4 or 5 at the end of the match.”

Finn Balor’s current booking will certainly disappoint fans who simply wanted to see him win the WWE Championship on Monday Night RAW. However, Vince McMahon’s decision is final and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
