WWE bringing in Mickie James for the 2022 Royal Rumbel match got a lot of fans very excited. They shouldn’t expect a cross-over with Tony Khan’s company.

It was previously reported that the Forbidden Door might be open for WWE in terms of bringing in talent from other companies. The thought was there that WWE might bring in more names than just Mickie James.

Although it’s not out of the question for WWE to bring in someone who is contracted with another company, they will not be from AEW. Dave Meltzer confirmed that there will be no AEW involvement in the 2022 Royal Rumble match.

Jon Moxley appearing unedited in Shield segments during SmackDown excited a lot of fans. They can keep wishing, because that does not mean Moxley is anywhere closer to making any type of return to WWE.

Vince McMahon’s company generally likes to surprise fans with the Royal Rumble. Don’t hold your breath in terms of seeing an AEW star make a surprise Royal Rumble match appearance.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
