Wardlow became the subject of rumors as he prepared for his match with CM Punk on last night’s AEW Dynamite. Mr. Mayhem was in the headlines as news broke that WWE would be interested in signing him when his contract is up with Tony Khan’s promotion. At almost that exact same time, an interview with Wardlow revealed that he wants to stick with AEW.

PW Insider recently caught up with Wardlow. The rising star was candid about his status with AEW and what he thinks his wrestling future might look like. Wardlow said for now, he is excited to be right where he is.

“AEW made my lifelong wildest dreams come true. Tony Khan gave me that, Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, they gave me that. The way people are treated there, the schedule.

I am so beyond blessed and I don’t think there’s any convincing me that the grass is greener on any other side. Very, very happy with AEW and the way I’m treated and just how the whole company is ran, head to toe.”

Wardlow is looking forward to a monster year in 2022. It looks like his long-awaited split with MJF is coming very soon. Wardlow will be gracing AEW fans television sets a lot for the foreseeable future. If he has his way, it will remain that way for a long time.
