AEW took the world by storm back in 2019 as it was the first pro wrestling company in a very long time that made waves in the pro wrestling world as a form of competition for WWE. It was certainly a risky endeavor as well because there was always the chance it was going to end up being a huge failure. It seems Tony Khan has a lot of factors to consider when it comes to signing talents.

There is no doubt that AEW has a very deep and diverse roster of talented in-ring performers from all over the world, incorporating various styles of pro wrestling. Khan even compared it to WCW’s 1997 roster. However, many fans are concerned that the company is signing more talents than they can handle.

While speaking to “Rasslin” on Barstool Sports, AEW President Tony Khan talked about the variety of factors he takes into consideration when it comes to signing talents to the company. Khan stated that professionalism is the most important quality for him.

“There are a number of things. There is in ring ability, there is professionalism, that is very important and my number one. The first word in professional wrestler is professional you know. I think in ring ability, charisma, promos you know and looking for a combination of these. If someone has some more than others you can work around it to some extent, butwe definitely need all those qualities.”
