Roman Reigns was on a roll since his return to the company back at WWE SummerSlam in 2020. He returned as the Tribal Chief and truly reinvented himself. The change was several years in the making as fans clamored for it for so long.
The Head of the Table has certainly been very dominant as the WWE Universal Champion as he has remained the champion for well over a year now. It is unlikely he will be losing the title anytime soon from the looks of it. He has competed against several top WWE Superstars throughout that time.
As reported earlier, Roman Reigns tested positive for COVID-19. Due to this, he was pulled from his WWE Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar. Lesnar would go on to take part in the WWE Championship match and ended up winning to become the new champion.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE could be planning on having a Monday Night RAW Superstar become Roman Reigns’ next opponent for the time being.
I believe that they have something planned for Roman Reigns. It might be someone from the RAW side moving over. Lesnar and Reigns are gonna have a confrontation this Friday, so maybe that’ll set up something – whoever the next sacrificial lamb will be.”
We will have to wait and see who Roman Reigns’ next opponent will be as it is likely to be revealed on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown.
