Roman Reigns will not be able to compete at WWE Day 1 tonight, but his heart will be in Atlanta with the company. The Head of the Table tested positive for COVID-19 and that Universal Title match is now scrapped. Now the Tribal Chief is speaking out.

Reigns logged into Twitter after news of his positive COVID-19 test broke. He yearns to perform tonight, but he cannot due to a positive COVID-19 test. His return is coming and he looks forward to that day.

I yearn to perform tonight at #WWEDay1 to defend my Universal Championship. However, unfortunately, earlier today I tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the proper protocols I am unable to compete as originally scheduled. I look forward to returning to action as soon as possible.

Ariel Helwani did confirm that Roman Reigns is vaccinated. It was not reported whether Reigns is experiencing any symptoms of the virus, but his immunocompromised status as someone who beat leukemia multiple times is concerning.
