WWE’s next premium live event is the Royal Rumble on Saturday, January 29th. They have not booked anything for the show besides the two Royal Rumble matches, but one big contest is now being reported.

According to DAZN’s Steven Muehlhausen, WWE is planning to finally pull the trigger on the Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley match that everyone has wanted to see for so long. According to his sources, fans in St. Louis will see that contest live.

Sources: Have learned Brock Lesnar-Bobby Lashley is the direction coming out of #WWEDay1. The destination is the #RoyalRumble on Jan. 29 in St. Louis. #WWE

Brock Lesnar’s situation is an interesting one, because he is also still very much involved in a storyline with Roman Reigns. We will have to see how WWE writes this situation, but Ringside News exclusively reported that the company’s plans for WrestleMania have not changed with Brock Lesnar winning the WWE Title at Day 1.

This match has not been confirmed by the company, but it will go with the two expected Royal Rumble matches. Johnny Knoxville was the first entrant in the men’s Royal Rumble match. We will have to see what WWE does about the Tribal Chief’s opponent for the rest of January.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
