CM Punk made his All Elite Wrestling debut a few months ago at AEW Rampage: The First Dance. It certainly changed the pro wrestling world as many people took notice of the company. Tony Schiavone considered it the greatest debut in pro wrestling history.

CM Punk has become one of the mainstays of AEW television and has feuded against the likes of Darby Allin, Eddie Kingston and others. Finally, CM Punk started a long-awaited feud with MJF.

Recently, CM Punk’s booking in AEW has been getting criticism for a lot of reasons, particularly the way he is portrayed in the company in the past couple of months. Punk simply said that fans need to wait for the big picture regarding his booking in AEW.

While speaking on the Keepin It’ 100 podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff talked about CM Punk’s current booking in AEW. Bischoff claimed that Punk no longer has the star power to elevate younger talent.

“There is this feeling where Punk is so over, let us use him to elevate the younger wrestlers. Well, he is no longer even able to elevate it anymore.”

“He is unable to elevate other talents if he himself is not the star that one thinks he is.”

CM Punk also recently stated that his slow start in AEW was his choice. It remains to be seen how AEW will keep on booking CM Punk and MJF’s feud as it further intensifies each week.
