Booker T Gives Props To MJF For Not Taking Shots At WWE

For many fans, MJF is certainly one of the best heels in the pro wrestling world right now and his character has only continued to develop during his time in AEW. He quickly cemented himself as a top star and has been mainstay of AEW television since the debut of AEW Dynamite back in 2019. 

The Salt of the Earth takes his heel persona very seriously and never breaks it, no matter where he is. This has led to several fans and pro wrestlers applauding him for his dedication.

MJF previously revealed that he will go where the money is after his current AEW contract expires in 2024. MJF even stated that there will be a bidding war for him in 2024, adding that to his recent promos as well.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about MJF being one of the smartest people in the wrestling industry right now. He also commented MJF for never taking a shot at WWE as he could very well be working there one day.

“He’s the smartest guy out there, bar none as far as the situation goes, as far as the internet goes, making people buy into MJF. It is not a discussion about whether he can fly, or how good of a grappler he is or anything like that – it’s about MJF, and that right there is something uncanny for today’s wrestling and the way younger guys go out there and do it. He could be trending for saying, “WWE sucks, and the guys there suck along with it, he could be easily trending for saying that.

Some of these wrestlers actually think about their bank account, how much money they could make in this business. Some think this way, and MJF is literally the best to actually just make that statement right there.”

MJF previously hinted that he could face Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns if Tony Khan doesn’t pay him enough. MJF also stated that Tony Khan thanks him for being one of the biggest draws in professional wrestling.

MJF’s stock continues to rise in AEW and by the time 2024 rolls around, it is likely a bidding war will start for him. It remains to be seen whether he will stick with AEW or not by then.
