Johnny Gargano has been touted as the face of NXT by many fans due to his excellent feuds with the likes of Tommaso Ciampa and Adam Cole. He has numerous nicknames such as Johnny Wrestling, Johnny TakeOver and more and they are all for a good reason. It seems he teased a future match with one of his biggest rivals.
During a previous episode of NXT 2.0, Gargano made it clear that his status in NXT is up in the air. However, many fans realized that it was truly the end of the line for Johnny Gargano. That turned out to be true as he is now officially a free agent.
While speaking on Johnny Wrestling Stream: Episode 1, Johnny Gargano talked about the possibility of wrestling Tommaso Ciampa again in the future. Gargano made it clear that his feud with Ciampa is still unfinished.
“So, we did find out we were doing that until maybe that day obviously, it wasn’t the ending me and Tommaso wanted. We wanted to be able to finish our feud.
It was supposed to be TakeOver: Tampa. [Was originally] supposed to be TakeOver: New York and then this was supposed to be TakeOver: Tampa, we wanted to have a huge crowd and all that but that’s not how things work out. Unfortunately. That’s, I guess, the story of our whole feud. It’s just timing and just thing’s not working out. Who knows, maybe we’ll finish it one day somewhere.”
Johnny Gargano also recently stated that he will work wherever fans call for him to work. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Johnny Gargano as his time in WWE is done.
