Bobby Lashley won the WWE Championship after beating The Miz on Monday Night RAW back in March. Since then, he was booked as a very dominant force and had Vince McMahon’s seal of approval. Lashley then lost that title to Big E in a huge moment that fans will always remember. The All Mighty’s character is far from finished in his journey.

For the past couple of months, Bobby Lashley was engaged in a feud with WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg. Bobby Lashley was defeated at the hands of Goldberg at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October 21st. After a brief absence, he returned to WWE television as well.

Following his return, Lashley earned the right to challenge Big E for the WWE Championship as well. He earned the spot after defeating three other WWE Superstars, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Big E himself.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is planning on turning Bobby Lashley into a babyface. The video package and him earning the title shot is also an example of the company’s direction for him.

“If you watch the show you certainly get the impression that Bobby Lashley is going babyface. They played a total babyface video package for him at the pay-per-view, yeah. So, I mean it’s been feeling like that’s been in the cards and then he has to beat three guys to get in [to the Day 1 WWE Title match], I mean that’s a total babyface move.”

Bobby Lashley is set to square off against Big E, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship in a Fatal Four Way at WWE Day 1 on January 1st, 2022. We will have to wait and see how will win the match.
