Lashley defeated Orton in the main event of the match. Then Lashley continued a post-match beatdown on Randy Orton. Lashley put Orton through the announce table and appeared to have tweaked his knee while doing so.

Then Big E came down and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. This popped the Boston crowd in a big way as Big E came down to claim his spot.

Lashley didn’t want to defend his title, because of his hurt knee. Then the bell sounded and Lashley attacked Big E in the corner. Big E took out Lashley’s knee and then he went for a Big Ending, but Lashley got out of it and he hit a spear for a two count.

Suddenly, Big E hit the Big Ending and won the title. Now Big E is the WWE Champion. This was a huge moment for Big E’s career and he celebrated as the show went off the air.
