When WWE Knew They Needed To Cancel Street Profits vs Mysterios On RAW

Rey Mysterio’s son Dominik has become a mainstay of the main roster and WWE television since making his debut back in 2019. Since then Dominik Mysterio has been featured extensively in various storylines, including program with Seth Rollins. 

Rey Mysterio is also a veteran in the pro wrestling world and has worked with the best of the best the business has to offer. He had even requested John Cena to coach Dominik Mysterio.

WWE had announced that The Street Profits were set to square off against the team of Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. However, the match was cancelled due to a possible issue with Montez Ford.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE knew they would have to cancel the match since last week but failed to announce that untill the last moment.

“They knew, I can tell you that they knew by Saturday, so they were slow on the draw to tell people [the match was off].”

It remains to be seen when exactly the two tag teams will be able to face off against each other in the future.
