CM Punk made his All Elite Wrestling debut a few months ago at AEW Rampage: The First Dance. This was move that created a lot of buzz for the company. Tony Schiavone considered it the greatest debut in pro wrestling history.

As seen on a previous week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk and MJF engaged in a war of words that saw CM Punk referencing the likes of The Miz and Triple H and others. It received a lot of praise from fans and pro wrestlers alike. Even after that, the two continued to trade barbs on every single show.

While speaking with NY Post, MJF talked about working with CM Punk, who was one of his idols growing up. MJF explained that CM Punk is missing killer instinct ever since he made his return to the pro wrestling world.

“Killer instinct. CM Punk would have done whatever it took to get a W and he would have made sure it didn’t take him 12 minutes to beat a schmuck like Lee Moriarty. It’s absolutely nonsensical.

I’ve seen the fire behind his eyes a couple of times ever since I’ve gotten in his face. I saw that fire in his eyes when we were in the ring talking back and forth. I saw that fire in his eyes when I said I was going to put his disgusting, flea-ridden mutt (Larry) down last week. I look forward to seeing the fire in his eyes again, but I want that flame to keep running. I think what that’s gonna take is CM Punk to understand that if he wants any shot at getting a match with me I need that flame 24/7, 365 just like the one I have because when I get in the ring with CM Punk, I don’t want any go**amn excuses. I want the best version of CM Punk.”

Bully Ray also believes that MJF could verbally eviscerate CM Punk. We will have to wait and see how AEW will book CM Punk and MJF’s feud in the coming weeks as it continues to get more personal every week.
