AEW is going through its most transformative phase yet, and the only man behind it is Tony Khan. Even though he is dealing with lot of bad press and rumors swirling around, Khan is looking forward to the upcoming changes AEW will go through.

Tony Khan is currently hyping up the upcoming AEW TBS Champion event which will take place on January 5, 2022. The show will AEW Dynamite’s transition from TNT to TBS.

Khan recently appeared on the Busted Open Radio show, where he spoke about the TBS Tournament. He said that he really appreciates people getting hyped up for it, and it works in favor of AEW Dynamite’s future.

A number of people have come up to talk to me about that lately and I am so glad that so many people have liked it. When I sat down and put the bracket together, I really felt like it would be a great way to build towards Dynamite making that huge move at the end of the year to TBS. I think it has only created more anticipation for the move. I am very excited about the semi-finals.

Khan also highlighted Jade Cargill, and her ability to be both one of the prettiest and the most dangerous of opponents. He added that Thunder Rosa would have a great challenge to overcome with her. Khan then said that Cargill is clearly the one deserving of the ‘Rookie of the Year’ title.

“The crazy thing is when you see Jade. Not only is Jade a beautiful woman but one of the most dangerous and powerful competitors in pro wrestling. I think Thunder Rosa is going to have her hands full in the semi-final with Jade. I think she’s clearly the rookie of the year. I think she is definitely one of the favorites to potentially be the TBS Champion.”

“I think she’s clearly the rookie of the year,” Khan claimed. “I think she is definitely one of the favorites to potentially be the TBS Champion.”

The AEW president talked about a lot more things, such as the role of Mark Henry working closely with Jade Cargill backstage. As the TBS Champion event comes closer, Cargill might be the one to take it home.
