The episode of Raw last night was of course full of surprises. Vince McMahon made yet another appearance, Edge returned, as did The Miz, and Kevin Owens was added to the title match for the WWE Championship at the Day 1 PPV announced for the new year. It would seem though, that a few of these surprises took a tad too much time in getting to the point, according to reports.

According to a piece at PW Insider, many backstage weren’t at all happy with some of the segments that ran a tad too long, specifically the segment involving Becky Lunch and Liv Morgan – the contract signing for their title match next week on Raw.

The other culprit was of course the segment in which Edge made his triumphant return only to be interrupted by someone else making quite the return…The Miz. It seems as though the two are to embark on quite the feud in coming weeks. The segment apparently took a tad too long to get to the point as well, though.

It was because of these lengthy segments that many of the other planned segments for the night were cut short, leading to this mention, which is important for obvious reasons.

The fact that they mentioned and referenced released superstars is a point of contention that was also brought up. Some of the wrestlers are apparently not happy with having to essentially go there during their promos, and neither are some of the fans, it would seem.
