Drew McIntyre Wants To Keep Building Toward Ultimate Match Against Roman Reigns

Drew McIntyre remains one of the top Superstars in WWE and certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion. He also has good relationship with Vince McMahon. McIntyre also has a hilarious reason for all the stories he tells.

Drew McIntyre has faced off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer. This also includes WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The two squared off against each other at Survivor Series and it took Reigns a lot of outside interference and several finishers to put McIntyre down for the win. McIntyre previously made it clear he isn’t done with The Tribal Chief just yet.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Drew McIntyre talked about his WrestleMania plans and explained why he is in no hurry to face off against Roman Reigns. He simply wants to build up to eventually facing Roman Reigns.

“I see myself in the title match with whoever is the champion at the time. Or, even better, I’m champion going into it. That’s where I want to be, that’s what I am working towards. In fantasy land, I don’t even want to be anywhere near Roman until then. He is such equity, he’s so high above everyone right now with the roll he’s been on.

I just want to keep building, and building, and building. Get some significant feuds in there, some significant character building/re-building, and make the fans want that match. Make it as big as possible, take Drew McIntyre to the level Roman’s at right now, and make that match on the biggest stage possible.”

Jimmy Korderas also previously said that Drew McIntyre should help elevate Roman Reigns. It remains to be seen when the two will clash again now that Drew McIntyre is on Friday Night Smackdown. Fans would love to see the two square off against each other again as McIntyre is a credible opponent.
