CM Punk’s debut two months ago at AEW Rampage: The First Dance truly changed the pro wrestling world for many fans. Since his debut Punk has been a regular feature on AEW television. It seems Ric Flair had something peculiar to say about CM Punk and Bryan Danielson in AEW.

AEW has all the momentum in the world right now thanks to the debuts of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole to their roster. This has ensured that the roster is one of the most stacked in all of pro wrestling.

While speaking in a teaser clip for his upcoming podcast Ric Flair Wooooo Nation Uncensored, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair and Madden discussed CM Punk and Bryan Danielson working in AEW and how they impacted the business after debuting there. Ric Flair stated that he isn’t sure if the two made any contributions to AEW so far.

Well, if I’m looking at the ratings, I don’t know what they’ve contributed. Yeah, certainly, as you said, they’re both big stars in the business. Both have had a lot of success, but I don’t know how to answer that question, because all you can do, as we do with football or any other show, is look at the ratings.

To me, that show should never do less than 1.1 million. If they get there once, and bring in all this talent, and go back, then there’s something wrong.”

Tony Khan would disagree with what Ric Flair said as he has gone on record to say that CM Punk’s inclusion in AEW has boosted the company’s business and ratings in huge ways. The same could be said about Bryan Danielson as well, so it remains to be seen what is next in store for both of them in AEW.
