Tony Khan recently added a tag match to the loaded card for Saturday’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view. The bout pits Pac and Cody Rhodes against Andrade El Idolo and Malakai Black. The original plans for all four wrestlers were a little bit different.

Dave Meltzer discussed the change on the most recent Wrestling Observer Radio. The idea was for it to be a fatal four-way type of match. Instead, that plan was scrapped and they went with the tag match.

“This was not originally on the card. Originally they were going to do a fatal four-way and then Tony Khan decided to make it into a tag team program, you know which would have been right when they did the first angle.:

A match was also announced for the pre-PPV Buy In show. Nyla Rose and Jamie Hayter will take on Thunder Rosa and Hikaru Shida in women’s tag team action. The rest of the card is listed below.
