Zoey Stark was written off NXT television last week with a backstage attack that they didn’t air on television. Stark was shown on the ground after an attack just took place, but that is classic booking for when someone is really injured. Sadly, that is the case for the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Stark jumped on Twitter to address her current situation. She is injured and required surgery. She tore her ACL/Meniscus, and Stark also kept up the storyline that Toxic Attraction is to blame. She promises to come back even stronger, but that can’t happen without surgery.

Sadly, I tore my ACL/Meniscus due to Toxic’s attack. Here’s the bad news for the “champs”. Surgery went great and I’m already rehabbing. I’ll be back BETTER & STRONGER with three targets in mind! Until then @shirai_io @KacyCatanzaro @wwekayden kick their ass tonight!

Hopefully, Zoey Stark will be able to make a return to NXT 2.0 as soon as possible and continue with her career in WWE. We’ve seen a lot of releases in recent memory so things might look very different when the time comes for her to make that in-ring return.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
