Matt Riddle Feels People Hate Him More After Teaming Up With Randy Orton

Ever since Matt Riddle signed with WWE, he has been one of the mainstays of WWE television, be it in NXT or the main roster. His in-ring skills are one of the best in the company and he already has good fan following. Despite that, he isn’t the easiest person to understand.

Matt Riddle’s character has certainly gotten over with fans thanks to his comedic timing and generally cool attitude while still being that of a stoner character. Vince McMahon wasn’t immediately on board with his character either.

Matt Riddle and Randy Orton’s partnership remains one of the highlights of Monday Night RAW. Matt Riddle also promised fans that RKBro scooters will be coming as well. 

While speaking to talkSPORT, Matt Riddle talked about working with Randy Orton. Riddle stated that he feels people hate him more now that he is teaming up with The Viper.

“No, I think people hate me even more now I’m with Randy. This son of a b**** thinks he;s untouchable now’ [laughs]. I try to tell Vince and other people, it’s part of my persona. It’s part of what makes me popular. I’m legit, I’ve fought in the UFC. Anyone can test me anytime. 

“Everybody here knows I can throw down and I’m going to talk s***. It’s one of those things where I can’t change that. I talk trash. For me, isn’t that my job? Make people care about what we’re doing and talk trash so people say ‘oh man, I’d watch that fight!’ or is it real?”

Matt Riddle and Randy Orton are currently the RAW Tag Team Champions and continue to get a lot of focus every week. They are certainly one of the highlights of WWE television. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for them.
