Fans have been waiting for the return of AJ Styles to Raw for quite some time. The Phenomenal One has been out of action with a reported non-injury medical issue. Last night, he returned to WWE for the first time since losing a tag team title match at Crown Jewel. WWE hyped AJ’s return on Twitter, sparking his name hitting the list of trending topics. His name actually trended over WWE Raw and Survivor Series.

AJ teamed up with tag team partner Omos, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode to take on Randy Orton, Matt Riddle, and the Street Profits. Styles’ team came out on the losing end of the bout. That didn’t stop WWE and AJ Styles fans from flooding Twitter with comments about Styles.

He’s baaaaaaaaack! Call your friends. @AJStylesOrg has arrived on #WWERaw.

Fans on social media went wild for the return of AJ Styles. Their responses ranged from over the top hero worship to demands to include Styles in a traditional Survivor Series matchup. Several complained about Styles’ continued pairing with Omos.

“His Royal Phenomenalness gracing us with his presence once again! Time to end this tag team stuff, though. We’re all worn out from it now and have lost patience. I have no interest in seeing AJ/Omos carried into the Rumble or Mania. Respectfully, I think this has run its course.”

“Why are they sitting on AJ? Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion now just going through the motions rather than making an impact like he did in NJPW”

“Why is AJ not on the survivor series team??!!! And why is Omos still around please put AJ back in singles competition and stop wasting his talent”

While it appears most fans who commented were just happy to see AJ Styles back in a WWE ring, a very vocal portion of the fanbase is frustrated with the company’s use of Styles. It seems like fans are sick of Styles being attached to Omos in every storyline. Fans are clamoring for another memorable singles run for AJ.
