WWE released several Superstars from their roster today and that was a surprising move for some. Others might not be too surprised, and vaccination apparently played into thing.

Andrew Zarian reported that there is a belief within WWE that at least four Superstars were released because they are not vaccinated. It seems there is some fire to that smoke.

Fightful Select reports that there were “at least five” Superstars who were released today that are “openly unvaccinated.” That could cause a problem with venues that they travel to. Also, it is 100% legal for WWE to release someone for that reason.

Fightful confirmed with WWE sources that at least five of the released talent were “openly unvaccinated,” including some very surprising names. It was stressed to us that this wasn’t the exclusive reason, and wasn’t the reason across the board for firings. It should be noted, releasing talent for not being vaccinated is completely legal, and would have restricted many of the venues that performers could compete in and travel availabilities.

We will have to see what happens in the future. Nia Jax and Karrion Kross are both known to be anti-vaxxers. Jax has also openly spoken about how her immune system is all she needs to fight the virus. It has not been confirmed by WWE that they released anyone for that reason.

The official reason given to all talent today was “budget cuts.” The company is not copping to this vaccination reason, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t play into things.
