WWE will sometimes make a plan for someone and then never follow through with it. That seems to be the case with the “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith’s son Harry Smith. He was brought back to the company with the intention of having a second run, but he only got one dark match out of the deal.

Harry Smith’s name was included in the slew of releases today. He joins Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Keith Lee, Nia Jax and more. It is a very sad day for the company, one where they also announced huge profits in their 3rd quarter earnings call.

Sean Sapp was able to confirm that the son of Davey Boy Smith was cut today. This was a big surprise, because he didn’t even have a chance to do anything this time around.

Harry Smith never quit wrestling even after his first WWE departure. He found work overseas and in Japan. Perhaps he will find his way back to those promotions, but the current situation with world traveling might make that a tricky situation.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
