Big E truly had a long and difficult road to the top of WWE. After a solid run on NXT, he was called up to the main roster but was eventually lost in the shuffle. Big E also recently talked about his character in WWE.

While Big E is certainly one of the most positive people in the company, even he isn’t immune to suffering from crushing lows during his career which made him feel lost.

With racism still a very real issue all over the world, many wrestlers have also had to deal with their fair share of racism as well. It seems Big E wasn’t one of them from the looks of it.

While speaking with Breakfast Club Power 101.5 FM, Big E was asked if he has dealt with any racism in WWE. Big E revealed that he never dealt with it himself. He then talked about being viewed as a ‘big black man.’

“In WWE, no, honest I haven’t. I will say, as far as our representation on TV we are getting to where we need to be. It’s always a work in progress. Often times if there are issues it would present themselves as, people see you a certain way and they want you to, as a character go, ‘oh you’re a big black man,’ so this is the role you need to play.”

Big E has become a beacon of hope for many people after becoming the WWE Champion. Now that he has retained his title against Drew McIntyre, we will have to wait and see who his next opponent will be.
