Gable Steveson’s terrific performance at the Tokyo Olympics helped make him a well-known name in the world of sports. WWE went the extra mile in getting Steveson to sign contract as even Vince McMahon personally met up with Steveson to sign him. It seems Brock Lesnar gave him some crucial advice as well.

WWE finally managed to sign Gable Steveson to contract last month and put all speculation to rest as far as where the 21-year-old will go next. It was also reported that Gable Steveson signed a unique contract with WWE, which is exclusive in nature.

Gable Steveson also previously admitted that Brock Lesnar was huge influence in him signing with WWE as Lesnar’s career path was something Steveson found helpful. From the looks of it, Brock Lesnar helped out Gable Steveson in many ways.

While speaking on After The Bell with Corey Graves, Gable Steveson talked about the advice Brock Lesnar gave him during his freshman year in college. Steveson stated that the advice he received was once-in-a-lifetime.

“Brock was getting me ready for my very long journey that he knew I was going to have. Before I even won the National Title, before I was even doing the things that I do now – Brock came in my freshman year of college. He talked to me about winning and friends and having the right people, having the right circle around you. Having guys like that, who you really do not see, that are big-time ballers and players in the world; to have them come in and sit me down and give me the a good idea of how his life was and how he became so successful and tried to put it into me. All of it was like a once-in-a-lifetime thing that you have to listen to.”

Gable Steveson was drafted to Monday Night RAW during this year’s edition of the WWE Draft. The company is also setting up remote training facility for Gable. It remains to be seen he will fare in the company once he makes his debut there.
