Maria Kanellis has thanked her peers in the Ring of Honor (ROH) after the company announced its would be releasing the talents from their contracts by the end of this year. The 39-year-old shared her thoughts on Instagram Wednesday evening.

Referencing the company’s plans about shelving the existing talent and pursuing a revamp, Kanellis said the “change” hit “harder” than the ones she’d encountered over the years. She also called upon the wrestlers in the ROH locker room to “keep fighting for the culture.”

Her husband Mike Bennett also reacted to the news about ROH’s decision to release every wrestler on the company’s payroll from their contracts. The duo had signed with ROH after their release from the WWE in April 2020.

The Baltimore-based wrestling promotion said it would be undergoing a “hiatus” as part of a revamp. According to the management, ROH would finish the current year with its “Final Battle” PPV and would be rebranding itself in the first quarter of 2022.
