Tonight’s Raw will feature many brand new members of the Raw roster following the 2021 WWE draft. WWE has teased Seth Rollins, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch and more as making their first appearance as new Raw superstars.

The only confirmed match for tonight is Raw Tag Team Champions Matt Riddle and Randy Orton defending against AJ Styles and Omos.

Raw

Raw begins live in Houston, Texas for Raw’s “season premiere” as WWE is calling it. WWE Champion Big E makes his way out to the ring to start the show. Big E grabs a mic and welcomes everyone to the season premier of Raw. Big E says there’s no better town to host a season premier than Houston. Big E gives a shout out to King of the Ring winner Xavier Woods and Big E’s Crown Jewel opponent Drew McIntyre. Big E asks now that there’s an influx of new talent, who will be his next challenger. Big E is interrupted by new Raw superstar Seth Rollins. Rollins makes his way out to the ring, Rollins gets on the mic and immediately starts laughing at Big E. Big E mockingly calls out Rollins’ loss to Edge which causes Rollins to snap and yell to Big E that he wants the WWE Championship. Big E says his loss to Edge puts him at the back of the line. Rollins says that he has earned his stripes on SmackDown, but the Universal Champion was too afraid to give Rollins his opportunity, and Rollins asks if Big E will be like Roman Reigns or a fighting champion.

Rollins officially challenges Big E, before Big E can answer, Rey Mysterio makes his way out. Mysterio says that he is deserving of a WWE Championship match. Mysterio runs down a list of his previous accomplishments in WWE and says that he is willing to do whatever it takes to win the WWE Championship one more time. As soon as Mysterio finishes speaking, Finn Balor makes his way out. Balor says that he has nothing but respect for Mysterio, but he runs down his resume, including calling out how he beat Rollins to be the first ever Universal Champion. Rollins begins to respond but is immediately interrupted by Kevin Owens. Owens runs down his resume like the others before him and says his first world title win was right there in Houston in the very building they’re in now. Owens reminds Rollins that he pinned him to win the title, to which Rollins attacks Owens, before Owens can counter and hit a stunner, Rollins escapes the ring. Sonya Deville comes out to restore order, and she says there will be a fatal 4 way ladder match to earn an opportunity for the WWE Championship.

The Street Profits vs Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode vs Alpha Academy

Our opening triple threat tag team match for a Raw Tag Team Championship match later tonight begins with Gable and Ford in a lock up. Gable and Ford exchange quick holds in a spot of chain wrestling. Gable gets a leg sweep take down into a shoulder lock submission. Gable hits a big shoulder tackle and follows with a German suplex that Ford flips out of and hits a drop kick. Dawkins is tagged in and the street profits take out Gable and Roode. Otis comes in but is drop kicked out of the ring by Ford and Dawkins.

*Commercial break*

The match continues live with Roode hitting a delayed vertical suplex to Ford. Ford takes out Ziggler on the apron and hits an enziguri to Roode. Ziggler is tagged in to prevent Ford from making a tag. Ford catches Ziggler in mid air to hit a power bomb. Otis runs in and drags Ziggler to the corner to tag himself in. Otis charges at Ford in the corner but Ford ducks to send Otis into the post. Gable tags in and Dawkins does too. Dawkins hits a shoulder tackle and suplex to Gable. Dawkins goes for a cover but Roode tuns in to break up the fall. Gable avoids a spinning elbow and Gable gets a cover but Ford dives off the top rope to break the pin. Ford hits a dive over the top to take out Otis on the outside. Ford climbs to the top rope but Omos comes out to distract Ford. Ford dives but Omos catches him and throws him into the barricade. Roode and Ziggler hit a spinebuster and Zig Zag combo to Dawkins to cover for three.

Winners: Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

The ringside area is set up in preparation for the coronation of Queen’s Crown tournament winner Zelina Vega.

Raw returns with Queen Zelina making her way out to the ring. Zelina gets in the ring and grabs a mic and says she will stand for this treatment no longer. Vega calls out the ring announcer and says she is royalty and she demands she be introduced again. Zelina is introduced again as the one and only queen of WWE, to which Zelina puts on the crown and sits on the throne. Zelina says she has been underappreciated, and for too long she was the only woman fit to be queen in WWE. Zelina says Doudrop is an example of anyone who stands in her way, and that the crown is proof that she is the best of the best. Zelina is interrupted by Doudrop, and a match between the two is announced as being next.

Doudrop vs King Zelina

The match begins with Doudrop hitting a lariat. Doudrop hits a double axe handle and throws Zelina across the ring. Doudrop hits a suplex and a running splash. Zelina trips Doudrop up in the corner and hits a series of stomps. Zelina goes to the top rope and hits double knees off the top rope. Zelina covers for a two count. Zelina takes off the turnbuckle pad and off the distraction hits Doudrop with the queen’s scepter, Zelina covers for three.

Winner: Queen Zelina

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch makes her way out to the ring after the title exchange from last week’s SmackDown.

*Commercial break*

Raw returns with Becky Lynch in ring. Lynch says she is the new face of Monday Night Raw. Lynch calls the Raw Women’s Championship the title that she never lost. Lynch says she will pick up right where she left off. Lynch references Bianca Belair and how she will be nowhere near the Raw Women’s Championship. Lynch rattles off a list of potential new challengers and says they will learn like Belair and Sasha Banks did. Lynch is interrupted by Bianca Belair, who comes out to tell Lynch that she was not the one Lynch pinned at Crown Jewel. Belair says Lynch cheated to win the match and that she hasn’t faced any adversity and she has constantly found a way to avoid facing Belair one on one. Belair says she has earned a rematch with Lynch. Belair says that she is the one who is the new face of Monday Night Raw. Lynch says that she has become a hero to the fans whereas Belair had a straight shot to the title and beat the best the company had, until Lynch came back, and it has been nothing but disappointment for Belair ever since. Belair says Lynch was hurt that the fans are still rooting for Belair over her, Belair says Lynch has the title, but she still seeks validation. Belair says Lynch is nothing without the title, and she knows it. Belair says she wants her match for the title here tonight. Lynch tells Belair to get to the back of the line and Belair attacks Lynch and continues to attack Lynch on the outside, even throwing Lynch to the announce able. Lynch tries to hit Belair with a kendo stick but Belair catches it and takes it and hits lynch repeatedly. Belair goes for the kiss of death by Lynch escapes and slams Belair to the mat with the kendo stick and Lynch manages to escape the ring. Lynch says that Belair has her match, just not tonight.

Kevin Owens confronts Finn Balor backstage. Owens says he respects Balor, but he has to win this match tonight, and Owens says it’s every man for himself.

Damian Priest vs T-Bar

The match begins with T-Bar hitting quick strikes. Priest gets hit with a discus boot and T-Bar covers for two. T-Bar hits a choke slam and goes to the top rope. T-Bar hits the top rope moonsault and Priest kicks out of the cover at one. Priest hits a series of strong right hands and hits a running elbow in the corner. Priest sends T-Bar over the top rope with a lariat. Priest follows outside and T-Bar throws a chair to cause the DQ.

Winner by Disqualification: Damian Priest

After the bell Priest goes berserk and beats down T-Bar viciously and throws him into the barricade. Priest grabs and throws T-Bar into the ring post. Priest throws T-Bar back in the ring and hits The Reckoning and stands tall with the United States Championship belt in hand.

Carmella vs Liv Morgan

The recent feud from SmackDown continues with a match on Raw that begins with Carmella immediately hitting a right hand. Carmella hits elbow strikes in the corner. Morgan goes for a corner splash but Carmella hits Morgan with a kick in mid air. Carmella taunts Morgan long enough for Morgan to hit an enziguri. Morgan hits a stomp to the mid section after Carmella is placed on the middle rope. Morgan tries to launch Carmella into the announce table but Carmella avoids it. Back in the ring Carmella kicks out of an inside cradle. Carmella gets a quick cover for the three count.

Winner: Carmella

Keith “Bearcat” Lee vs Cedric Alexander

The match begins with Lee charging to the corner and throwing Alexander across the ring. Alexander tries kicks to the shin but Lee shoves Alexander across the ring. Lee slams Alexander to the mat and hits a strong punch to the mid section. Lee hits a corner splash. Alexander tries more shin kicks but lee hits a shoulder tackle. Lee hits a lariat and hits a suplex power slam for three.

Winner; Keith “Bearcat” Lee

After the match, Shelton Benjamin gets in the ring and stared down Lee before leaving the ring with Alexander.

Dominik Mysterio vs Austin Theory

The match begins with Theory hitting a knee to the mid section. Theory hits a standing drop kick. Mysterio hits an arm drag and Theory reverses the Irish whip to hit a kick. Mysterio hits a huricanrana and Theory responds with a back breaker and a cover for two. Mysterio gets an inside cradle for two. Mysterio hits a corner elbow and hits a bulldog off the middle rope. Theory hits the ATL and covers for the three count.

Winner: Austin Theory

Raw Tag Team Championship

RK-Bro vs Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

Our tag team championship match begins with Ziggler and Riddle in a lock up. After a series of pin attempts, Roode and Orton are both tagged in. Roode applies a waist lock and Orton escapes for a waist lock of his own that Roode breaks free of with an elbow. Orton goes for an RKO but Roode escapes and crawls outside the ring. Roode makes his way back in the ring and is hit with an uppercut and a stomp on the mat. Riddle tags in and hits a splash off a boost in the air from Orton. Riddle hits a series of kicks to the chest in the corner. Roode rolls outside and Riddle goes for a kick off the apron but Roode catches Riddle’s leg and slams him to the floor.

*Commercial beak*

Out title match continues with Ziggler driving Riddle into the corner and making a tag to Roode. Roode hits a knife-edge chop in the corner. Roods runs to the corner but Riddle gets out of the way and Orton is tagged in. Orton hits a power slam to Roode and Orton puts Roode on the middle rope but Ziggler causes the distraction for Roode to grab Orton and throw him into the barricade. Roode tags in Ziggler and Ziggler runs to grab Orton and throw him back into the ring. Ziggler goes for a cover and gets a two count. Ziggler tries for a cross face submission but Orton is able to break free. Ziggler makes he tag and Roode applies a chin lock. Orton breaks free with a belly to back suplex and crawls to the corner to tag in Riddle as Ziggler is tagged in. Riddle hits a knee to Ziggler and then one to Roode. Riddle hits a senton and a running kick to Ziggler, Riddle covers but Roode breaks the fall. Orton slides in to hit an RKO to Roode. Riddle is able to get a crucifix pin on Ziggler for the three count.

Fatal 4 Way Ladder Match:

Seth Rollins vs Rey Mysterio vs Finn Balor vs Kevin Owens

The ladder match begins with Mysterio, Balor and Owens all going after Rollins. Owens follows Rollins outside and slams him to the barricade. In the ring, Balor hits a drop kick to Mysterio. Rollins goes for a ladder but Owens throws Rollins to the barricade. Owens throws a ladder in the ring and takes out Rollins and Balor with another ladder. Mysterio dives to the outside but Owens hits Mysterio with a ladder in mid air. Owens power bombs Balor onto a ladder in the ring. Owens hits a super kick to Rollins, Owens goes up top for a swanton but Rollins moves out of the way to send Owens crashing through the ladder.

*Commercial break*

The match continues live with Rollins hitting Owens with a ladder. Rollins then hits Mysterio with the ladder and finally hits Balor. Rollins goes back to hit Owens. Balor taks Rollins down and stomps on Rollins’ chest with the ladder over Rollins. Balor back body drops Owens onto the ladder with Rollins still underneath. Balor climbs the ladder but Mysterio climbs up to prevent Balor from winning. Owens tips the ladder over sending Mysterio and Balor crashing down. Mysterio tries a top rope dive but Owens catches and slams Mysterio to the mat. Owens begins to climb the ladder but Rollins holds him back and hits a buckle bomb off the ladder to the corner. Owens pops out of the corner to hit a super kick. Owens climbs back up the ladder but Mysterio grabs Owens at the last second. Mysterio pulls Owens down but Owens throws Mysterio into the ladder. Owens goes outside to hit Balor and then Mysterio with a ladder. Owens goes around to hit Rollins with the ladder. Owens reaches under the ring to bring out a table. Owens sets up the table and Balor strikes Owens, Rollins makes the middle rope dive out of nowhere to take out Owens and Balor. Mysterio hits Rollins with a bulldog in the ring. Owens enters the ring and Mysterio counters a pop up powerbomb with a huricanrana. Mysterio goes for the 619 but Rollins trips him up. Mysterio hits a 619 kicking the ladder into Owens. Mysterio and Rollins fight over a ladder and Balor dive over the top rope to take them both out.

*Commercial break*

Back live with Rollins hitting Owens with a DDT. Mysterio climbs the ladder but Rollins knocks Mysterio off the ladder. Rollins Irish whips Balor into a ladder in the corner. Balor hits a sling blade to Rollins, Owens hits a super kick to Balor and Mysterio is slammed to the ground by Owens. Rollins grabs a huge ladder from outside but Balor grabs Rollins to throw him to the barricade. Balor sets up the ladder to bridge the ring and announce table. Balor runs it to stop Mysterio on the ladder. Owens grabs Balor and hits a stunner. Owens grabs Mysterio right off the ladder and Mysterio send Owens over the top rope. Owens catches a diving Mysterio and power bombs him through the table. Owens climbs the ladder and grabs the contract but Rollins prevents Owens from pulling it down. Rollins hits a back body drop to send Owens through the ladder on the outside. Balor climbs the ladder but Rollins pulls him off and hits the stomp. Rollins climbs up the ladder with everyone down and pulls down the contract to win.

Winner: Seth Rollins

After the match, Big E makes his way out to applaud Rollins on the ramp. Rollins extends his hand but Big E does not shake it. Rollins heads to the back with the contract in hand. Rollins is interviewed backstage and he calls Raw his show, and that he is back and better than ever. Rollins says that he is the next WWE Champion, Rollins laughs hysterically as Raw goes off the air.
