Mickie James Is Back To Her Roots After Knockouts Title Win At Bound For Glory

Mickie James is a true veteran of the pro wrestling world as she was one of the mainstays of WWE’s women’s division during the mid to late 2000s. After being fired by WWE back in April, Mickie James made her way to NWA and then Impact Wrestling soon after.

At Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary event, Mickie James made her return to the company after many years. She confronted Deonna Purrazzo and since then, the two engaged in an intense feud.

It culminated on this week’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view, where Mickie James challenged Deonna Purrazzo for the Impact Knockouts Championship. After an intense back and forth, Mickie James nailed Purrazzo with a DDT for the win. Thus, she became the new Impact Knockouts Champion.

After her triumphant victory, Mickie James took to Twitter and reacted to her win. Mickie James thanked Impact Wrestling and Deonna Purrazzo for helping her go back to her roots.

We will have to wait and see how Mickie James will be booked as the Impact Knockouts Champion as it is certain Deonna Purrazzo wants to regain her title again.
