Xavier Woods became the 2021 King of the Ring on October 21st as he toppled Finn Balor at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. This was a huge moment for Woods, but some fans might not realize exactly how much it meant to him.

Following his big win, Xavier Woods was overcome with emotion. He started to tear up as he spoke about how much becoming King of the Ring meant to him.

Woods said that he doesn’t get nervous anymore, but he was nervous throughout that entire match. He’s been a pro wrestler for 17 years, but tonight was a very special experience. He likened it to being in a wind tunnel and all he could see was Finn Balor.

Although he admitted that the white Intercontinental Title is “dope,” becoming King of the Ring is all that mattered to him as a singles wrestler. He loves tag team wrestling, but this was a huge achievement.
