Vince Russo recently tried to get back into the good graces of WWE. A Ringside News exclusive revealed that Russo had been in touch with both Fox and USA to attempt to secure a consultant job and, ultimately, have a meeting with Vince McMahon about returning.

Russo did take part in a WWE-produced documentary. It appears no further business relationship will come between Russo and WWE after all.

The former Vic Venom posted today on Twitter that his relationship with Vince McMahon has officially ended. He called it the duo’s final exchange.

After knowing Vince McMahon for 30 years & having great success w/him during my time at WWE–yesterday he & I had our FINAL EXCHANGE. It’s an unfortunate story & sad in many ways, but, Closure is good. Not ready to discuss now, but I will be. Where?

Vince Russo seems genuinely upset that the long-term relationship is ending. Perhaps he was searching for one last run in the pro wrestling business. It doesn’t seem it will happen within the familiar confines of WWE.

It seems ridiculous to think that WWE would ever bring Russo back, but stranger things have happened in wrestling. For now, it appears as though Russo has finally found closure to one of the longest chapters of his life.
