Darby Allin is a unique star on the AEW roster. He is known for his rebel attitude and that also pertains to the titles he wants to carry. The former TNT Champion is very proud of his reign with that title, but he doesn’t care about the company’s top singles belt.

While speaking to New York Comic Con, Darby Allin made it very clear that he doesn’t care about the AEW World Title. He hears fans say that they can’t wait for him to be champion all the time, but there is zero interest on his part to carry that strap.

“Out of all of those matches, I can say it was probably the one I lost to Miro. It was lots of fun, but it was during the pandemic, I was having the best matches of my career and long story short, I’d like to run that shit back in front of a live crowd. We’ll continue to show everybody why that championship is the most important championship in AEW. Everyone is like, ‘I can’t wait until you become World Heavyweight Champion’. I don’t give a s**t about that. Give me that TNT Championship.”

Tony Khan books AEW and if he wants to give Darby Allin the AEW World Title, then he’ll become campion. A reluctant champion who doesn’t care about the title might be interesting. We’ll just have to see what’s to come, because they have a long time to book Darby Allin in AEW.
