Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle had a battle or two in the ring, but they never squared up in a shoot fight setting. Many thought it might be a possibility, but that never came to pass. Angle recently opened up about why it never happened. Apparently, they couldn’t come up with the right money.

While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic Hero and WWE Hall of Famer said that he wouldn’t have wanted to fight Lesnar. He revealed that even though he wouldn’t have wanted to fight Lesnar, he still would’ve done it for the right money.

“No, I wouldn’t wanna fight Brock Lesnar, out of respect for him, and the friendship we had, ya know? If the money were right, I know he would want to fight me. I also know I would want to fight him too, because it is all about money. Sometimes it kind of sucks, ya know, you can’t take that personally. You’re trying to provide money to take care of them and that comes first before friendship. So, I’m sure Brock Lesnar and I — if they would’ve given us the right dollar amount — we probably would’ve went at it.”

We’ll never see that shoot fight go down, but it would be very interesting to witness. You never know if Lesnar and Angle’s paths will cross again, because anything can happen in pro wrestling. The chances of them colliding in an MMA environment are astronomically low.
