Tonight’s SmackDown is the first night of the WWE Draft. Superstars will be drafted to either RAW or SmackDown meaning tonight will see a major shake up in what the SmackDown roster will look like going forward.

It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.

SmackDown

SmackDown begins live in Baltimore with WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville coming out to a podium on top of the stage. Deville and Pearce announce the first round draft picks.

Round 1

Pick #1 Roman Reigns: SmackDown

Pick #2 Big E: Raw

Pick #3: Charlotte Flair: SmackDown

Pick #4: Bianca Belair: Raw

After the first round picks are made, number one pick and Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way out to the ring accompanied by Paul Heyman. Heyman hands Reigns a mic and Reigns says that he is number one and tells Baltimore to acknowledge him. Reigns hands the mic to Heyman and Heyman says the crowd’s cheering is not loud enough for the tribal chief. Heyman says it’s no surprise who the number one draft pick is. Heyman says that The demon went up against an exorcist named Roman Reigns. Heyman says that Reigns is now looking forward, looking to Crown Jewel. Heyman says that the beast of suplex city will come up to the “suplexorcist” and Reigns will remain the Universal Champion and smash Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel. As Heyman finishes, Brock Lesnar makes a surprise appearance, Lesnar circles around the ring before eventually entering the ring. Lesnar gets right up in Reigns’ face as the two stare each other down. Reigns throws the first few strikes and knocks Lesnar to his knees. Lesnar pops up and hits Reigns with a German suplex. Reigns rolls out of the ring as The Usos run in and are immediately both taken out by Lesnar. Reigns climbs onto the apron but decides against getting back in the ring and Reigns backs away, Lesnar hits an F5 to Jimmy and then hits one to Jey after.

SmackDown returns with Charlotte Flair being interviewed backstage. Charlotte says that Fox would of course take the most decorated women’s competitor in WWE history.

Kevin Owens vs Happy Corbin

The match begins with Owens immediately hitting a take down and series of punches. Owens hits a lariat to send Corbin over the top rope. Owen goes for a top rope dive but Corbin moves out of the way before Corbin can dive out of the ring. With the ref distracted, Madcap Moss trips up Owens from outside the ring.

*Commercial break*

The match continues live with Owens hitting an enziguri. Corbin hits a big boot in the corner and a tornado DDT from off the ropes. Owens goes for the stunner but Corbin gets a roll up for two. Corbin hits the deep six and gets a two count. Owens hits a cannon ball in the corner. Corbin hits the end of days on the outside Corbin rolls Owens in the ring and hit the end of days again and gets the three count.

Winner: Happy Corbin

Back live with Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to announce the second round of draft picks.

Pick #1: Drew McIntyre: SmackDown

Pick #2: Randy Orton & Matt Riddle: Raw

Pick #3: Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods: SmackDown

Pick #4: Edge: Raw

Drew McIntyre is interviewed backstage. Drew says he’s excited to be on SmackDown, he says he was proud of everything he accomplished on Raw. Drew says he started on SmackDown and has unfinished business. Drew calls out the Bloodline and says that he’s coming for the Universal Championship.

Edge makes his way out to the ring to address Seth Rollins’ challenge from last week.

*Commercial break*

SmackDown returns with Edge in the ring. Edge says that he is the only current star to be on the first ever SmackDown. Edge says being drafted to Raw is a new challenge for him. Edge addresses how Rollins hit the stomp and sent Edge out of Madison Square garden in an ambulance. Edge says that Rollins knows he will have an advantage in their next match. Edge says that he is on his way to 100% and that Edge calls out Rollins. Rollins appears on the Titantron and Rollins says that he must admit that he’s impressed. Rollins says that Edge isn’t saying the things that Rollins needs him to say. Rollins says that he didn’t believe Edge would be at SmackDown. Rollins says he’s an honest man and that he’s not at SmackDown, but he is standing right outside of Edge’s house. Edge immediately runs out of the ring. Rollins knocks on the house door and enters the house calling for Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix. Rollins walks around the house and begins to go through their kitchen fridge. Edge sits at the table and begins to eat at the family table. Rollins points to drawing hanging up. Rollins insults the children’s art and says they don’t have a future in art. Rollins continues to walk through Edge’s house and sits in a chair in an office room while laughing. Edge is shown on the phone and he says on the phone that Rollins is in their house and they need to stay away from the house.

Liv Morgan vs Carmella

Before the bell Morgan attacks Carmella. Carmella says that’s the last chance Liv will ever have to damage her face. Carmella instructs people at ringside and Carmella enters the ring with a protective mask covering her face. Carmella beats down Morgan in the ring as Morgan cannot damage her face and Carmella stands over Morgan as the match never happens.

Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are up for the third round.

Pick #4: Keith “Bearcat” Lee: Raw

After round three The Street Profits and The New Day make their way out to the ring together for an upcoming eight man tag team match.

The New Day & The Street profits vs The Dirty Dogs & The Alpha Academy

The match begins with Ziggler and Kingston exchanging holds in the ring. Kingston hits a spinning elbow and covers for two. Ford is tagged in and Ziggler strikes Ford’s injured ribs and Gable is tagged in. Gable gets a take down and puts Ford in an armbar. Gable locks in the ankle lock but Ford rolls free and hits a back body drop and knocks everyone off the apron. Ford throws Gable out too and dives outside but Otis catches him and slams him onto the apron. The two teams stare down outside the ring.

*Commercial break*

Back live with gable hitting a back suplex to Ford. Ford dives over the top rope but Gable catches into a bridge cover for a two count. Ziggler is tagged in and Ford hits an enziguri. Dawkins and Roode are tagged in and Dawkins hits a drop kick and a spinning elbow to Roode. Dawkins hits a spinning neckbreaker and covers for two. Otis charges and Dawkins pulls the rope to send Otis over the top and Ford hits a dive. Roode hits a spine buster in the ring and covers Dawkins for two. Dawkins avoids the DDT and makes the tag to Woods and Woods covers off a top rope splash for the three count.

Jeff Hardy is interviewed backstage and is approached by Brock Lesnar backstage, and Lesnar steals the mic and says he thanks Paul Heyman and that he is a free agent and lesnar gets to do whatever he wants to do.

The Bloodline is shown sitting together backstage and Reigns asks Heyman if he is still good friends with Lesnar, Reigns asks if he and Heyman are best friends, and then asks Heyman if The Usos were drafted to SmackDown tonight, Heyman tries to assure Reigns that it’s all a part of a strategy. Reigns angrily snaps at Heyman before regaining his composure and tells Heyman he wants him to go to Raw on Monday and make sure The Usos are drafted to SmackDown. After Heyman leaves, he tells The Usos that he wants them to go with Heyman to Raw to ensure they’re drafted to SmackDown.

Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks

Before our WrestleMania rematch main event begins Becky Lynch makes her way out to join commentary. The match begins with a lock up and Belair backs Banks into a corner. Banks applies a side headlock and Belair escapes. Banks hits a monkey flip in the corner but Belair lands on her feet. Belair catches Banks in mid air and hits a gorilla press slam. Banks slams Belair’s head into the corner. Banks rolls out of the kiss of death and Belair knocks Banks out of the ring.

*Commercial break*

Back live with Belair hitting a corner spear. Belair puts Banks on the top rope but Banks sends Belair to the mat and hits the meteora from the top rope. Banks hits a series of strikes in the corner. Belair avoids the tornado DDT and hits a face buster and covers for two. Belair picks Banks up and hits a delayed vertical suplex. Banks hits the double knees in the corner. Banks goes up top for a tornado DDT and covers for a two count. Banks hits the frog splash and but only gets a two count. Belair tries the kiss of death on the apron but Banks escapes and tries a sunset powerbomb but Belair flips out of it and stares down Lynch. With the ref distracted Lynch trips Belair by her hair allowing Banks to get a roll up for the three count.

Winner: Sasha Banks

Immediately after the match, Charlotte Flair runs in the ring and takes out Banks, Charlotte holds up her Raw Women’s Championship belt as SmackDown goes off the air.
