Top Superstars In The Dark On WWE Draft Plans

WWE is holding another Draft and it all starts tonight. Ringside News confirmed that WWE has nailed down all of their draft choices and their network partners were informed about the new rosters. That doesn’t mean talent are aware of where they are going.

The company will typically not inform Superstars where they are going in the WWE Draft. This gives them a chance to capture an organic reaction on camera. It looks like the trend is continuing this year.

Fightful Select has confirmed that talent do not know where they are going. This is a bit maddening for a lot of them, because their lives are certainly impacted by that decision. This even applies to those top talent.

Fightful was able to speak to top names on Raw, Smackdown, and NXT and as of the middle of the week, none had any idea where they were supposed to go in the draft. One top name said they expected it would be about how it usually is, with them not knowing.

Those in talent relations did not know who would go where in the WWE Draft as of Wednesday. There are also questions about what kind of format the company will even use.

A few NXT Superstars are expected in the 2021 WWE Draft, but none of them were clued in about draft plans either. At this point, talent are just as unaware of what will happen tonight as the fans who will watch the event themselves.
