Sammy Guevara Wins AEW TNT Title On Dynamite

AEW Dynamite closed out their Brodie Lee tribute show in Rochester with a TNT Title match, the only title that the Exalted One ever got to hold in the company. Miro defended the title against Sammy Guevara and fans packed the Rochester arena to see this match go down.

Sammy Guevara promised Fuego Del Sol that he will buy him a car if he wins the TNT Title. This match went back-and-forth before Sammy Guevara pulled off a reversal and started landing running knee strikes on God’s Favorite Champion.

The Spanish God landed on his feet off a German suplex and then Miro hit the floor. This gave Sammy a chance to nail a big dive over the top rope.

They continued and Miro nailed a slam for a two count before the match continued. Guevara ducked under a kick from Miro and then he went to work in the corner. Then, Sammy Guevara climbed to the top rope and Miro met him up there.

Sammy nailed a top rope cutter after he pushed Miro off the turnbuckle. Miro landed a kick after Guevara couldn’t hit the GTH, and that was a very close near fall.

Miro ripped the turnbuckle pads off and he eventually took a bump into the exposed steel. Sammy then hit a tornado DDT, a GTH, and the 630 senton for the win.

This marks Sammy Guevara’s first singles championship in AEW. He is now the new TNT Champion and gold confetti fell from the ceiling as he celebrated.
