WCW held their first Nitro event in the Mall of America, a Bloomington, Minnesota landmark. It is also one of the world’s largest shopping malls. There is also a chance that they are still in the market to host some pro wrestling action.

The Mall of America’s official Twitter account saw a video posted of that classic WCW event. PastaMania ran wild that night, brother. Lex Luger even surprised the pro wrestling world by showing up unannounced. This throwback event caused a great idea to fire off in the head of whoever runs the famous mall’s social media.

One fan tweeted to point out that The Target Center in Minneapolis will host Full Gear, and the Mall of America isn’t too far from there. “Dynamite the following week should be at the @mallofamerica. I hear it’s a great venue for pro wrestling,” this fan tweeted.

The Mall of America tweeted back to say, “We’re all for it! It worked great the first time. @AEW brings the” and then they used two “fire” emojis. We’re not sure if this was an official invite, but it might cause Tony Khan to pick up the phone.

AEW is in the market to bring pro wrestling action to fans all over, no matter how unique the venue. The Mall of America might just be too good of an offer to pass up for someone like TK who devours pro wrestling history.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
