John Morrison has been a highlight of WWE television ever since he came back to the company in 2019. Morrison previously admitted that his WWE return didn’t quite go as expected.

John Morrison has had incredible performances in the company so far and that includes his stunts at the Royal Rumble matches every year. It seems an amusing incident took place during last year’s Royal Rumble event.

While speaking on WWE After the Bell Podcast with Corey Graves, John Morrison was asked about wrestlers he’d like to face in WWE. Morrison named WALTER but had a very odd reason for it.

Morrison met WALTER backstage during last year’s Royal Rumble event and screamed at WALTER that he is Morrison’s favorite wrestler and seemingly spooked him.

“WALTER, I’d like to wrestle WALTER because he’s [my dog’s] favorite wrestler. Presley was tweeting WALTER for like six months, every time he came out, Presley would watch his theme music. And the first time I met WALTER was at [Royal] Rumble before the lockdown started. I was a little too excited maybe. He walked in and I was talking to Edge and Christian and a bunch of the guys, and I screamed like across the room like ‘Hey, WALTER! Hey, you’re my dog’s favorite wrestler.’ I ran over and I think I spooked him because he turned around and left. I haven’t talked to him since. I don’t know what happened, if I spooked him or he thinks I’m crazy, but hopefully he knows I was just excited for my dog.”

It remains to be seen whether WALTER will ever cross paths with John Morrison on the main roster in the future as it would certainly make for an interesting match up.
